Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes, we’re always accepting new patients. Just give us a call and we’ll get you scheduled with the doctor of your choice.

Do you bill insurance?

No. We don’t bill insurance and we are not in-network with any company. We give all our patients a Superbill which has the ICD-10 codes on it that insurance companies need. After you pay us, you submit the bill to your insurance company for reimbursement. The percentage they give to you will depend on your plan, so it’s a good idea to check with them before scheduling an appointment, especially as there may be additional forms to fill out on their end.

Do you offer IV therapy?

Not yet, though with the popularity of these treatments, we will be offering that in the near future.

Do you offer constitutional hydrotherapy?

Yes, we offer constitutional hydrotherapy treatments using a sine wave machine. We also give all patients instructions on how to do a modified hydrotherapy treatment at home.

Should I stop taking prescribed medication prior to my first visit with the doctor?

No. Continue taking your medication as directed. You and your naturopath will make a plan together.

Will I have to change my diet?

Probably. Part of the foundation of vitalist naturopathic medicine is the function of the digestive system. Almost all patients who come to see our doctors with health concerns have some digestive disturbance even if the symptoms seem unrelated. So, the first step in healing is to address diet and eliminate foods that aren’t digested properly.

What is your medicine refill policy?

As part of your treatment plan, the doctors will often make up herbal tinctures, homeopathic remedies, and prescribe dietary supplements. Sometimes they will want to see or talk with you before refilling anything, but typically the front desk staff can handle refill requests.

  • Call or email the clinic with your request before you run out of the item. Depending on volume, staff asks for 24-48 hours for refills. If something needs to be ordered, it will be longer.

  • Medicine can be picked up or mailed (flat $10 shipping fee).

  • Staff will ask for a credit card to keep on file for medicine refills. If orders are not picked up after 2 weeks of being notified, clinic policy is that we will charge your card and automatically mail you the medicine. This is to make sure you get your medicine, and to prevent items from being ordered but never picked up.

What is your medicine return policy?

Medicinary items such as unopened supplements can be returned and we will credit your account for the cost. Medicines that were specially blended for you by the doctors and staff cannot be returned, however, such as botanical tinctures and homeopathic remedies.

Do the doctors have different specialties?

They’re both traditional vitalist naturopaths, so they approach healing with the same philosophy and therapeutic order. Dr. Jared Zeff specializes in treating chronic illness, and is also a licensed acupuncturist. Dr. Rebecca Zeff categorizes herself as a family practice traditional vitalist naturopath, and is especially passionate about women's health, and the role of optimal nutrition in pregnancy and early childhood development.
